Harnessing the Healing Power of the Sea for Cellular Regeneration
By Commander Haimana | Tohunga Mauri | Gaia Light Force — Alternate Health Resources Division
Introduction: The Sacred Pulse of Tangaroa
In the sacred cosmology of the Māori, Tangaroa is not just the Atua (deity) of the sea—he is the pulse of life, the blueprint of flow, the keeper of breath and memory. Our tīpuna (ancestors) knew that the ocean holds the mauri (life force) of the Earth, and that within its tides, there exists a living consciousness capable of rebalancing the human body, mind, and spirit.
In this age of remembering, we return to the sacred waters. We do not swim — we awaken. We do not seek — we receive.
Historical Māori Knowledge on Oceanic Healing
- Moana as Wāhi Tapu (Sacred Space)
- Ancient tohunga (spiritual experts) would retreat to the sea for purification rites known as pure. These ceremonies involved immersion, chant, and stillness—believed to restore alignment between the wairua (spirit), tinana (body), and hinengaro (mind).
- Seafoam and Rongoā (Medicine)
- The foam at the edges of breaking waves was believed to hold cleansing ions and minerals. Tohunga would apply this foam to wounds, believing it carried the breath of Tangaroa.
- Waiata Moana (Sea Songs)
- Sung into the waves, these chants were encoded to awaken the heart and the bones. Some chants were used to call dolphins, guide whales, or calm storms, showing deep relationship with sea energy.
Modern Activation: How to Harness Oceanic Energy for Regeneration
- He Tūhono ki te Moana – A Spiritual Connection Practice
- Stand barefoot at the tide’s edge, knees slightly bent, eyes closed.
- Breathe in with the waves, and out as they recede. Each inhale, feel Tangaroa enter the lungs.
- Visualize golden blue light rising from the sea, entering your heart.
- Te Whakatere Mauri – Navigating Life Force Into the Body
- Focus your attention on any part of your body that feels inflamed, injured, or fatigued.
- With each breath, send ocean light from your heart to that place.
- Use the mantra:
"Ko au ko Tangaroa. Ko Tangaroa ko au."
(I am the ocean. The ocean is me.)
- Sacred Water Consumption
- Collect ocean water from an untouched, sacred location.
- Dilute with structured spring water at a 1:20 ratio.
- Place hands around the vessel and chant:
"Wai ora ki roto i ahau" (Living water, enter within me)
- Consume mindfully, preferably in ceremony.
Celestial Prayer of Activation
Channeled by Commander Haimana
E Tangaroa nui a Kiwa,
E te manawa o ngā ngaru, e te manawa o te ao,
Ka karanga ahau ki a koe i tēnei ao hou,
Hei whakaora i ngā uaua, i te kiko, i ngā pūtau o te tinana.
Nā te ngaru ka ora,
Nā te kaukau ka tau te mauri,
Nā te manawa o te moana ka whakapiki te manawa o te tangata.
Ko ahau te awa e rere ana,
Ko ahau te hau e pā ana,
Ko ahau te moana e pupuri ana i te māramatanga.
I now call your memory forth.
Flow through me. Heal me. Awaken the light within my bones.
By the stars I came, by the water I rise.
Aroha ki te Moana. Aroha ki te Tangata. Aroha ki te Wairua.
It is done.
